In these photos taken by Matt McClain for The Washington Post we are able to understand the devastation of the Nepal earthquake that happened in recent years. We can conclude from the photo that McClain has found devastation with the people in the region that were subjected to this natural disaster. In the photo we are able to see multiple perspective on the devastation of this earthquake and how the civilians are handling it. Most of the pictures taken by McClain show much upsettingness to the devastation that is their home. This photo and many others along with information at the bottom of the pictures provided by Matt McClain. We are able to see how they appeal and relate the information to the general public as well as anyone personally affected by these incidents. He does this by exhibiting a primary source in his findings to conclude the overall reality of the situation. The purpose of this photo is to express the destruction that the earthquake has caused, and how the individuals within the society are dealing with this horrific event. Matt McClain is able to explain his purpose through the use of photos and text towards the bottom of the picture to show the audience unimaginable pain that is produced from this event. The subject of the photos is civilians evacuating their homes because it is not stable enough to live in because of the harsh devastation that this earthquake has causes. All of the photos shown by the photographer express a tone or feeling of disbelief,and overall sadness because of the facial expressions seen within the images to understand the hardship that these people have to go through.
